DyeStatCal California Fantasy Cross Country League
Rules:

Each contestant will select five different boys or girls California schools (there are separate contests for each gender) at the beginning of the season to make up their Fantasy Super Squad.

Among those five schools (which can be from any or all of the five divisions), the contestant will choose a different school to occupy each of its five scoring spots for the year.

The performances of runners in these scoring spots from their respective schools at meets approved by the fantasy competition will determine the fantasy team’s cumulative score through the season.

The combined average finish times for the runners on a fantasy team will make up the final scoring time for the fantasy team.
* So essentially you will have to decide which schools you will think will have the best average at the #1, #2, #3, #4, or #5 positions this season, then compile your roster based off that; however, you cannot duplicate any schools.

Bonus/Penalties:
* 0:10 deduction award for every state championship winning team or individual state champion on fantasy roster
* 0:05 deduction award for every state championship team runner-up or individual runner-up on fantasy roster
* 0:03 deduction award for every 3rd place state championship team or individual on fantasy roster
* 0:20 penalty added to teams that do not qualify for CIF Finals
* 0:15 penalty added to teams that do not qualify for State Championships
Example from above sample entry:

If Riverbank’s #1 runner wins the individual state title, 0:10 will be deducted from the final overall team time
- If Trabuco Hills and Woodcreek are both state meet runner up teams in their divisions, 0:10 (0:05 x 2) will be deducted from the fantasy team’s final overall team time
- If Ventura failed to qualify for CIF Finals, 0:20 seconds will be added to the final overall team time plus another 0:15 would then be added for failing to qualify for state.
- If Riverbank fails to qualify for CIF or State but their #1 runner qualifies as an individual, there will no penalty assessed in this situation, as Riverbank’s #1 will still be competing.
Caveats:

The Fantasy Competition Administrators reserve the right to throw out a meet in which it appears that the results will compromise the competition (i.e. shorten course, erred or incomplete results, etc.).
- The Fantasy Competition Administrators also reserve the right to add an unapproved meet in order to ensure selected runners receive two wild card marks. Reasonable performances will be selected from the performances from unapproved meets to fill-in for missing marks.
- Cross Country courses do not all yield comparable performances; some courses run longer or shorter than others; select your team with that in mind
- Due to the very fast times on the Woodbridge 3-mile course, twenty (20) seconds will be added to the official times from the meet when computing contest times.
